Climate
Phuket has as a tropical climate.
With 3 distinct seasons :
1. Hot season..........March through May- 27-37*C
2. Rainy season.........June through October-23-32*C
3. Cold season........November
through February-22-33*C
The rainy season,when the air is hot
and dry normally begin in June. It rains twice a day - late afternoon and night.
Usually, it does not rain all day. Water temperatures range from 26-28*C. The
best months are November through February.
It is important
during Hot season and at daytime:
To use & apply decent amount of sunprotection
To drink a lot of fluid, preferably water (In this heat your body looses a lot
of fluid)
To wear a cap or a hat if you're staying out in the sun for a long
period of time
To wear loose and light clothing (preferably cotton)
To
have be in hold of a set ofh sunglasses!!!
During the Monsoon
, (rainy season) strong winds may causeathe sea to produce some big waves and

As for families'es
traveling with young children, take the warning seriously as such waves can easily
take control of small rubber-rafts or other items children use to play with.

and Restaurants:
Open at 7 am and close at 8:30 pm though some day open
past midnight. Most coffee shops close at midnight; some may open 24 hours. Large
restaurant generally closes at 10 pm.
Postal Services:
The post offices are usually open from 8 am to 4:30 p.m. The Thai post service
is usually reliable. Important items can be sent by (EMS) Express mail. This is
faster and safer but the cost is slightly higher.
Private air couriers like
DHL have representatives in Phuket.
Telephone Services:
International calls can be made from the post office, most major hotels, some
travel agents and private international telephone offices dotted about the Island.

Tourism Authority of
Thailand (TAT) was established on March 18, 1960. It was to be the first organization
to be responsible for promotion of tourism. TAT supplies information and data
on tourist areas to the public. They also publicizes Thailand so as to encourage
Thai and international tourists to travel in the Kingdom of Thailand, conducts
studies to set development plans for tourist areas and co-operates with and supports
the production and development of personnel in the field of tourism.
Since
the inception of the first local office of TAT in Chiang Mai in 1968, there are
now 22 local offices throughout Thailand. TAT are also established in numerous
overseas offices, the first being the New York office in 1965. They are know in
15 more countries since that, opened during the last 30 years.

The people of Thailand are very understanding and
they will tolerate a lot of things, but not all. There are some limits and codes
